Alyssa Book is a Cuban-American Fiber artist based out of South Florida. After a battle with postpartum depression, fiber arts became a rebelious yet healing outlet for her.

Using rug tufting techniques, she creates one-of-a-kind pieces of touchable art. Her style focuses on the use of bold lines and bright colors to awaken joy within our inner child.

Inspired by the Woodstock era and the healing properties of color, Book creates works of art our of yarn that induce feelings of joy from the inside out.

Alyssa Book has had her work featured in shows such as Art + Stroll with BFA Broward, Waste To Wonder at The GalleRe in Palm Beach, FL and in The Woven Collections Art Show at Gasper Arts Center.

Book has had the honor of being interviewed on many occasions for web publications and video podcasts. Click below to watch or read more about her story, and how she became a fiber artist.
